Architecture, Design, Principal designer services
18-20 Union St, Sheffield, S1 2JP
My name is Roxana Stoica and I am the founder of Atelier Quattro Canti ltd, an architectural design practice based in Sheffield. Originally from Constanta, Romania, I have lived and worked in UK for the past 14 years, after completing my architectural master’s degree in Italy and working for an engineering practice in Palermo, Sicily.
I worked for architectural practices and developers and have extensive experience in mixed use residential - office large developments. For Axis Architecture in Sheffield I have completed amongst other projects, as Project Architect, Velocity Village, a large multiuse development with over 400 apartments and a multi-storey office building, now hosting the Sheffield University Language Center.
Whilst at Whittam Cox Architects (formerly WCEC) in Chesterfield I have worked on large office developments part of the Middlewood Locks development in Salford.
During my year working with Wright Investments in Doncaster I have designed a large regeneration site in a high-risk flood area - Gainsborough Riverside, which has successfully achieved planning permission for 220 houses and apartments, using innovative techniques to allow development in an area prone to flooding.
Passionate about good design, I have also worked with smaller developments sites and homeowners to convert existing and historic buildings to homes and offices. I have a sound understanding of Planning and Listed Building Consent and of Building Regulations.
I founded Atelier Quattro Canti ltd in October 2018 to continue delivering a competitive architectural service for homeowners and developers alike and joined Union St - an independent co - working social enterprise that revolutionised the Sheffield entrepreneurs start - up scene.
I currently work with a range of domestic and commercial clients and my projects include a new housing development in West Yorkshire, new build private houses, conversions, extensions in South Yorkshire, NE Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. I also collaborate with fellow designers alike.
